You will need:
Paint Shop Pro
Eye Candy 4000/Glass and Fire
Filters Unlimited 2.0/Special Effects 1/Square Bumps
Xero/Porcelain
2 images of choice. I'm using the fantastic art of Maxine
Gadd, and you can purchase her art at
My PSP Tubes
Mask of choice
Fonts of choice
Open a new canvas 600x500, flood filled with
white. Take your
rectangle preset tool, set to square, line size 8,
foreground a colour to match your chosen images. Draw out a
square. See finished tag for an idea of size. Convert
to raster, then add Eye Candy/Glass with Setting ib_navnes_names
if you have it, or play about with the setting until you are
happy. Duplicate and mirror. Line them up so they sit
side by side.
Take your magic wand and click in the centre of
one of your squares, Selection/Modify/Expand by 2. Then copy
and paste one of your images, move below the square, and line up
within the square the part of the image you wish to keep.
Invert and hit delete. Repeat with the other image and
square. Then on both images apply Xero/Porcelain default
settings. Add a drop shadow of H & V =0, Opacity 45, Blur 8
to the frames, and merge them down to the images. Duplicate
both images, and on the original rotate the left to the left by
45% and the right to the right by 45%. Make sure your
rotated images are below the top images. Merge your two
original images together, and your two rotated images together.
Add the same drop shadow as before.
Activate your white layer, add a new layer and
flood fill with the colour you used for your frame. Then add
your chosen mask. Try using one with a solid centre and
misted edge. Merge group, then using your Pick tool, and
drag in the sides to bring it in closer to your squares. Now
apply Filters Unlimited 2/Special Effects 1/Square Bumps.
Change density to 100, and Shading to 25. Next select all,
float, defloat, invert and then add a new raster layer. Add
Eye Candy Fire with the following settings.

Select none.
Active the top layer and now add your text.
I'm using Ariel Black in black to write 'Red is the color of blood
and fire'. Do not covert to raster yet. Duplicate, and
on the bottom one, click the + to the side, and right click on the
layer it opened up. Select properties and change the colour
to match that of your background. Then move this layer
slightly up so it shows behind the black text. Now covert
both layers to raster layers, and merge one on top of the other.
Add the drop shadow, and then add the porcelain we added to the
images. Then using a script font in white, add your name,
then add the same drop shadow, but change the opacity to 100.
Add your copyright. Merge visible and save as a jpg
or png.
