You will need:
Paint Shop Pro
Image of choice - I'm using one by
Stephanie Shimerdla
Frame type mask. Mine is from Zuzzanna
Font of choice Choose an image
that has a part reaching out. Convert to raster and
duplicate. On the bottom layer load your chosen mask from
disk,
invert checked. Merge group.
Increase your canvas size, to give you room to work. Add
another layer, flood fill with white, and move to the bottom.
On the top layer we only want to keep the
reaching out part, so that it looks like it is reaching out of the
picture. So slightly lower your opacity so that you can see
the frame underneath, and using your lasso tool, feather 2, draw
around the bit you wish to keep, like so:

Selection/invert, and hit delete. Select
none. Move your opacity back to 100%. Now with this
image a couple of the finger tips are missing, so I've selected
ends of the other fingers to build it up. Once happy with
your image add a drop shadow of V = 0, H = 12, Opacity 60, Blur 8.
You may get some shadow showing on the part of your selection
within your image. Just select this with your lasso, and hit
delete. Select none, and merge down, then add a drop shadow
of V & H = 0, Opacity 50, and Blur 8.
Add your text, in a colour of your choosing, with whatever your
image says to you. Mine says "DON'T LEAVE ME". I'm
using a distressed font for this. Convert to raster then
lower the opacity to 67. Add your name
and the copyright. Crop to get rid of the excess white background.
And save as a jpeg.
